A Community
Access Program (CAP) is a portal to free public internet
access, with its doors open to the entire community, young
and not so young.
CAP is
designed to inform the members of the community about the benefits
of the Internet and related information technologies and to help
them acquire the skills and knowledge they need to use these
new technologies effectively. The key target groups are:
local businesses (including home offices), farms and agricultural
enterprises, non-profit organizations, community groups, schools,
libraries, government agencies, and the general public.
Do you need
help writing a resume? a cover letter? researching and developing
a business plan? learning about e-commerce? learning how to use
the internet? creating an e-mail account? Well these are just
a few of the many things your local CAP site can help
you with!
The Community
Access Program is set up through Industry Canada. Further
information about the program and the Official CAP website
can be found at http://cap.ic.gc.ca/ |
